Zeanuri or Zeani, as its neighbors call it, is the fourth most populated municipality in the Arratia Valley with 1250 inhabitants. It is located on the slopes of Mount Gorbea and geographically it is the third largest municipality in Bizkaia with almost 67 km2.
Sport and culture have always gone hand in hand in the town.

That’s why the “eskupelota” has had a specific weight in Zeanuri throughout its history. Rare is the day when young and not so young do not enjoy the ball in any of the two pediments of the town.

The mountain has also been a vital element in day to day life and for this reason the arrival of the Gorbeia Suzien came almost naturally. Suddenly it became one of the most important events of the year within a calendar full of festive and cultural activities. The success of the race was preceded by the generous citizen collaboration to which we will always be very grateful and without which Gorbeia Suzien could not be carried out.
